I always feel so special as the winter olympics are always at my birthday time! I wish I could purchase clothing but we in the USA can't purchase what we want from the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Store -- that is a true bummer! Thanks for keeping us all so informed. It's wonderful and a great escape from the crazy daily grind.

163 Days to Go - Molson's Canada Hockey House

While it is unfortunate that the Canada Olympic House won’t be open to the public, it is understandable – they’d be swamped with people!! But lucky for us there are going to be a lot of options for other places to party during the Olympics. I have already posted about the Live City Sites and there will be many more posts on interesting and exciting places to be while the Olympics are on. Today though is all about the Molson Canadian Hockey House!!

As you can see in the photo/diagram, the Hockey House will be close to both BC Place and Canada Hockey Place (usually known as GM Place, no branding during the Games). It will be part of an 81,000 square foot pavilion! The pavilion will also host a private section for Hockey Canada and the International Lounge. These sections will be limited to Team Canada Players and Sponsors and to International Ice Hockey Federation guests respectively. But not to worry, the Hockey House will have lots to keep you amused!

Like what you ask?? There are going to be giant HD screens showing the games, good food and of course beverages. They are planning live entertainment to rock your way into the morning.

Construction is scheduled to begin in October so I imagine more information will be on its way soon and I’ll be sure to let you know when there is something exciting to know about. Sometime soon I’ll also be posting about an International House that is hyped to be “THE” place to party during the Olympics. Oh, the excitement!

On a daily note, I volunteered for the MS Bike Tour in Vancouver today and it rained! The whole 5 hours that I was outside it rained. Not always very hard, but it was pretty constant. It’s a wonderful thing for all of our parched land, but I wouldn’t mind a little bit of sunshine back. Hope you had some lovely weather today, or if not then at least some good rain to wet the land. Have a good night. Talk to you tomorrow. Thank you, merci.
